MINNEAPOLIS --(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 24, 2025-- Piper Sandler Companies (NYSE: PIPR), a leading investment bank, has named Michael Piper as the head of fixed income, effective in the first quarter of 2026. He will report to Deb Schoneman , president at Piper Sandler . The previous head of fixed income, John Beckelman will transition to vice chairman of fixed income capital markets. He will continue to serve as a senior advisor to the business while focusing almost exclusively on client engagement.

Michael joined the firm as part of the Sandler O’Neill acquisition in 2020. At Sandler O’Neill, he held several roles in fixed income across management, sales, and trading. Prior to that, he was an analyst with Guggenheim Structured Product Asset Management and worked in investment strategy with Guggenheim Securities . Michael started his career at Bear Stearns focusing on the CLO/CDO market. He graduated from Tulane University with a bachelor's degree in finance and marketing.
